Program Specific Objectives

The students will have the basic foundation in designing and have the ability to visually represent it by illustrations, photographs, graphics and visual display of merchandise. he students will be able to convert their designs into a garment using appropriate construction techniques. The student will have a strong foundation and understanding of the garment manufacturing process and procedures.

Educational Objective of the Department:

The Undergraduate program in Costume Designing and Fashion Technology helps to gain an in-depth understanding of the various facts of design, the history of design, and various theoretical approaches to the creation of the design.

This knowledge helps you to identify the areas of your interest and develop expertise in the concerned area.

Students will be able to apply the learned techniques of draping to develop a product.

Students will develop understanding regarding fibers and their use in different sectors

Create garments that reflect creativity and innovation through the use of foundational techniques achieved through shape,
color, silhouette, proportion and fabrication;

Giving practical exposure by providing opportunities for industrial visit

Molding their employability through job - oriented courses (E.g. Advance level Aari embroidery)
